The Faraway Devotee

The most awaited time of the year for Muslims is finally here. It’s that time when Muslim globally cross the lands and sea to perform Hajj. Hajj is a once in a lifetime religious obligatory for all Muslims.

While thousands of lucky people are performing Hajj this year, I’m using this day as an inspiration for my art. The centre of the artwork is a replica of the Kabaa. Each coloured pattern represents a devotee and lastly, the frame is made up of five pillars.
