Halloween: He’s Coming Home

For the past week I’ve put the 100 day art challenge on hold. I’ve come across a few competitions and have jumped at the chance to take them on.

I know its a little too early for Halloween, but here is my latest, darkest and scariest submission for the sequel movie Halloween. I bravely watched the trailer a number of times, back and forth for ideas. With the volume down, of course, I’m not daring enough to keep it up. No matter how many times I watched the trailer the man in the white mask scared me every time.

To create this chilling piece I stuck with my usual circular technique. Making a full portrait in a collage style was challenging considering the subject, but also quite an accomplishment. For the main silhouette I tried something a little different, I slightly painted the knife red to imitate blood, again I was pleased with the result.

Halloween Blame it on art
