9am, I patiently stand by the coffee shop counter, waiting for my mountain creamed hot chocolate to be topped with extra cocoa. With my phone in hand, I take my hot drink to a quiet spot, where I begin to scroll through Instagram, keeping up with all the positive motivators I follow. A hot drink and inspiration is my perfect early-morning combo to get me through the day.
I’m an ardent quote reader/ collector. My life is coated with inspirational quotes that have filtered blanks spaces; from the covers of notebooks to the sides of novelty pens, from the underground “quote of the day,” message boards to the motivational decals displayed on gym walls, from bus shelter ads to A1 poster boards of coffee shops. I silently listen to these mentors. Shelter myself with the wisdom of words to find solace in them.
