8 am I gather all my things together mobile, book, keys, card, etc. Double-check on my phone, the one thing I can’t leave the house without. My bags all set to accommodate my long commute and day. As I go about my journey, before reaching for my book (I’m currently reading I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes), I take out my phone, browse through Insta, catch up on what I missed between then and waking up. I double click on some posts and store a few. My save folder has become a hoard of quotes.
Positive quotes coach me from the sideline, with their daily “you got this” pep talk. Some days I need the silent mentors more than others; the push and encouragement, to get my creative juices running or to get myself through whatever obstacle I’m facing.
These mentors work hard at putting the right thoughts into my head. They play an important role in changing my negative thoughts into positives ones.
Leaving you with a quote by Martin Luther King, Jr.
“If you can’t fly then run if you can’t run then walk if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
In other news, I’ve received 500 likes on my post, yippy.
