A slice of rich, chocolate cake, with the letters HA written on top, sits deliciously in front of me, waiting to be devoured. I’m in no rush to finish it, there’s plenty more of where that came from. As I mentioned earlier, it was my Birthday this week and I’ve been busy enjoying it by eating cake. One down one to go.
Regardless of what day it was, in the midst of all the celebrating and chants, I couldn’t help but feel blue, over worries that were out of my hands. I turned to Instagram, my current portal for motivational quotes, for some distraction. When I came across a quote by Jay Shetty
“You’re never in the wrong place. Sometimes you’re in the right place looking at things the wrong way”
I read it over and over again, like a broken record. Until I was able to look at the situation differently, with a more positive mindset, one that’s not blue.
In other exciting news, today I dropped Minted Forest (artwork) off at Wynwood Cafe in Walthamstow, for my very first group exhibition. I’m thrilled to have my work printed and framed for the public eye. Sharing is caring and I’m more than happy to share my work.
