12 am ordering lunch at costa. I told my lazy self last night, I’ll wake up early and prepare a healthy, organic, filling meal for my lunch and tea break. However, things didn’t quite work out that way. I was full of optimism the night before. My alarm was scheduled for three separate bells; The first buzz would’ve given me plenty of time to eat breakfast and make lunch, the second signal was enough for me to prepare lunch and the third alert for nothing at all. And, yes, I woke up on the third alarm forgetting my oath, all for a few extra minutes of sleep. Tiredly pushing my blanket to the side and slowly walking towards the bathroom to begin my morning routine. I keep glancing at my phone to see if I have a minute to spare in the kitchen. Unfortunately, no is the answer.
With the gorgeous weather on the forecast, things need to change, I tell myself. It’s got me thinking about all the ways I can improve my morning routine. I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it’s the best time for me to have cake (if I want it to burn down before bed). Therefore, I need to give myself an hour or two to dictate in which direction I want my day to go. I’ve read about successful people waking up at 4 am and tackling the gym before getting on with the rest of the day. I need that sort of motivation in my life.
Waking up and having a filling breakfast sure will make me feel like I’ve accomplished something. Now to do some grocery shopping.
