Colour of the Month: Forest Green

Made it just in the knick of time. I didn’t want to miss November’s colour of the month post. So here it is with all its colourful splendour and just a few hours to spare before we say goodbye to November for a full year. November was a busy month for me. Having been away for the first half of it and spending the last half sharing my trip stories and pictures.

Back to the chosen colour, forest green. The festal season is around us, and nothing says festive more than green (and red). Think Christmas trees, mistletoe and wreaths, all the things that are crafted by nature. Green as I know it is a refreshing, rejuvenating and revitalizing shade. It evokes the thought of foliage and flora, currently my favourite feel-good subject. As of late, I’ve been reading a lot about the benefits of being around greenery and how it has a positive and calming effect on our moods. This notion has prompted me to make a couple of changes in my life. I’ve started by making full use of the great outdoors, it can be a short stroll in the park or sitting by the canal. My bedroom has a new addition and it comes in the shape of a refreshing, leafy plant. My room is far from a greenhouse, but it is the one place I like to retreat to after a long day.
