I think my body clock may be broken. I arose this morning when it was still slightly dark. As a stranger to this time, 5 am. I stayed in bed for as long as I possibly could. In an attempt to normalise being awake at this hour on my day off and before a headache decided to creep up on me.
It was the best and worst of time for me to reach out for my mobile, known as today’s age of wisdom and foolishness, depending on how it’s used. Personally, for me, it was to read affirmations, manifestations and positive quotes about life. The acumen it was.
Reading quotes by my favourite motivational speaker Jay Shetty, I stopped by one that I currently relate to the most. I’ve constantly spoken about this with my friends and on my blog over and over again, to the point where I sound like a broken record straight out of the vinyl 90s. I don’t believe in coincidences, so I must be on the right track, heading in the right direction, to adage something similar to a purpose coach and one that I am inspired by.
“When nobody else celebrates you, learn to celebrate yourself. When nobody else compliments you, then compliment yourself. It’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged. It’s up to you. Encouragement should come from the inside.” Jay Shetty
