Lately, I’ve been spending a fair amount of time with a book in my hand. Throughout the day I make two switches between fiction and non-fiction. While I like self-development books, I can’t say no to a good crime and thriller novel. Both genres have their places.
It’s not surprising how many pages I can get through in a day that has no other commitments. My vision for the last month of lockdown is fairly static. Apart from the zillion steps a day, most of the adventure is in my mind. I can’t say I disapprove of the distraction books have to offer, I’m definitely learning as I go.
I finished reading Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King a lot sooner than expected. Once I’d opened the book I didn’t want to put down. I wanted to see it through to the end within days of turning the front cover. Vex talks in a cordial tone sharing personal experiences whilst applying the message of the law of attraction. I took notes along the way. As he spoke of his early to present life-events and how manifesting worked for him, I thought about my life and all the times I had manifested things unknowingly.
Once again wearing my exclusive optimistic badge. I’m ready to study the text of a new book that concurs my mind with all the positivity it has to offer, whilst arming me with enough emotional strength to fray negativity. I’ll take the words happiness and kindness as my shields.
Sounds like a good day

I’ve been breezing through books too! It’s been the ultimate escape recently. I’m about 4-5 books ahead to hit my yearly goal on time (well according to goodreads). There’s just something so comforting about a good book!

There is, honestly it’s books that got me through this lockdown. The more I read the better I feel. They’re like a great escape.
